Community Chest
Apply for funding for your community projects
The Community Chest programme supports residents and non-profits to deliver projects and activities to benefit Cambridge Road Estate residents, making a positive impact during the regeneration process. It's all part of the Joint Venture's social value commitment. Read on to see how to apply.
How does it work?
Each year, £50,000 (£75,000 in the first year) will be put into the Community Chest to fund projects that Cambridge Road Estate (CRE) residents support and value. There are two pots of funding:
- Small grants — providing up to £300 to CRE residents for a community project.
- Large grants — providing up to £5,000 to organisations for a community project.
There are four rounds of funding applications each year (March, June, September, and December) and applications will be decided by the Cambridge Road Estate Community Board who make a decision based on the funding available, and the social value priorities. The remaining 2024 deadlines for applications are as follows: midday (12, noon) on 14th June, 14th September, and 14th December.
