The Community Chest programme will provide funding to residents and not-for-profit organisations to deliver projects and activities for the benefit of Cambridge Road Estate residents and the estate during the regeneration programme. This programme is part of the regeneration Joint Venture’s social value commitments.
How does it work?
Each year, £50,000 (£75,000 in the first year) will be put into the Community Chest to fund projects that Cambridge Road Estate (CRE) residents support and value. There are two pots of funding:
- Small grants — providing up to £300 to CRE residents for a community project.
- Large grants — providing up to £5,000 to organisations for a community project.
There are four rounds of funding applications each year (March, June, September, and December) and applications will be decided by the Cambridge Road Estate Community Board who will score all applications and make a decision based on the funding available, the highest scores, and the social value priorities. To find out more about the Cambridge Road Estate Community Board click here.
The deadline for the second round of applications will be midday (12 noon), 14 March 2023.
